OVERVIEW
The Universitate–Cișmigiu route is a discovery-style treasure hunt where you’ll search for hidden photo clues and solve fun challenges along the way.
This urban Treasure Hunt invites you to explore one of Bucharest’s most emblematic intersections: University Square (Piața Universității).
You’ll wander through the city at your own pace, looking for landmarks, solving creative tasks, and sometimes competing in time-based challenges at designated checkpoints.
At the end, we all meet again to award and celebrate the winners while enjoying a complimentary drink together.

Location Info
University Square is considered the “zero kilometer” point of Bucharest — a major traffic hub located right in the heart of the city. It is also a powerful symbol of democracy and freedom in Romania.
On the site where Grand Hotel Bucharest (formerly InterContinental) and the National Theatre of Bucharest now stand, there used to be an open-air circus, along with restaurants and small shops.
The area was heavily affected by the 1977 earthquake, when many buildings collapsed or suffered serious damage.
Landmarks You’ll Encounter Along the Route
The Memorial of Rebirth (Monumentul Renașterii), standing 25 meters tall, highlights the importance of the 1989 Revolution in Romania’s history.
Arthur Verona Street, probably the most colorful and Instagrammable street in Bucharest.
